A month in the life of 1PS – April and May

What a few months it has been for everyone! Over the past 2 months I have been working alongside our development team in India, we have taken the opportunity of working from home to accelerate our development plan to create an even better experience for our users across the 1PS platform.

My role has mainly involved testing changes and providing feedback, of features and fixes that the development team have implemented to our test portal. Our focus is to ensure our portal is simple to use and doesn’t create an admin heavy process for our clients.

I have really enjoyed testing the changes that were made as this challenge allowed me to push our software to its limits, creating scenarios and making up data that the portal might not be able to handle to ensure we have covered all possibilities!  However, I rarely managed to find errors into the system due to how thorough and genuinely talented our development team is. We have weekly update calls via Teams on progress and although at first I struggled to keep up with the technical language, I am now fully immersed in the project and enjoy seeing the progress of our portal.

Our development team are extremely impressive, not only technically talented but also very efficient in dealing with issues that arise and finding solutions.

Our portal provides a solution for our agencies and contractors that means timesheets and invoicing isn’t a burden, our dev team are crucial to our success and are constantly making sure it is running as expected and trying to improve it to make it more efficient for the 1PS staff as well as improving the usability for clients.
